Founded by Ichiro Akuto, the Chichibu Distillery has been producing award-winning whiskies since 2008. This 2023 US edition pays homage to the historical bond between Japan and the US with a unique label that features US Commodore Matthew Perry. Perry, known for his role in opening Japan to international trade in the 19th century, is depicted enjoying Chichibu’s whisky amidst Washington, D.C.'s iconic cherry blossoms, a symbol of friendship between the two nations.
