The Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Kilranelagh Wood Tree No. 115 is part of the exclusive Dair Ghaelach series, which showcases the influence of native Irish oak on single pot still Irish whiskey. This release is part of the fifth chapter of the Dair Ghaelach collection, which focuses on the Kilranelagh Estate in County Wicklow, Ireland.

The whiskey is crafted from a blend of 15 to 28-year-old single pot still whiskeys that were initially aged in American oak bourbon barrels. These whiskeys were then transferred to casks made from six selected Irish oak trees from Kilranelagh Wood, where they matured for an additional two years. This process imparts a unique flavor profile that combines traditional Irish whiskey characteristics with the distinct influence of Irish oak.
