New Riff 8 year bourbon - how good is it?

Nose; vanilla, caramel, touch of cherry
Palate; sweet, caramel, vanilla, a bit of cherry, nice mouth feel but not coating
Finish; oak, caramel , and cherry, not drying, medium long finish

Overall; very smooth, no peppery spices. Probably because it is only 100 proof. I scored it better than one of my New Riff single barrel bourbon picks, but lower than another.
