Aztec Spirits, a relatively new entrant in the spirits industry, was founded by George Schurman and Karen Lubliner in 2015. Located in the United States, Aztec Spirits is primarily engaged in the bulk sales aspect of the distilled spirits business. The founders bring a diverse set of experiences to the table: Schurman had previously founded a craft distillery in 2009, Taos Lightning, while Lubliner brought experience from owning retail, manufacturing, and restaurant businesses.

Aztec Spirits offers a variety of spirits, including bourbon. Their bourbon whiskey is distilled from a fermented mash of not less than 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% barley. This combination of grains is stored at 130 proof in charred new oak containers. Aztec Spirits emphasizes the use of GMO-free and domestically grown corn, rye, and barley. The final bourbon product is four times filtered and aged in oak barrels, resulting in a smooth and distinctive taste suitable for sipping or mixing. They offer their bourbon in three varieties: Bourbon Distillate, Aged Bourbon Slightly Oaked, and Finished Bourbon Whiskey Barrel Aged​.

Aztec Spirits also produces a Grain Neutral Spirit (GNS), distilled from a fermented mash of not less than 51% corn (maize), including wheat and sorghum. This GNS is also GMO-free and kosher, using domestically grown corn, wheat, and sorghum. It is five times filtered to ensure a clean and neutral taste, perfect as a base for other applications​.
